used BBQ charcoal on the allotment..any use?
« on: April 22, 2008, 10:11:40 »
Hello
quick question...is used BBQ charcoal of any use on the allotment?  It was used to cook a paella so no fat or anything dripped onto it, just pure ash.

Many thanks

As I guess charcoal was once wood, it will be wood ash, which as far as I remember is very good for sprinkling around your fruit bushes, or putting on your compost heap as a sweetner.

That's fantastic  :)  Will sprinkle it around my raspberries then.
