Road works
« on: March 28, 2008, 18:44:52 »
Do these people that work on roadworks have any idea how to keep traffic flowing when they put up their temporary traffic lights. Letting 3 cars at  time through with traffic backed up half a mile each side does not make sense to me. Some of them put the lights up, then disappear for a few days, with now work going on anyway.

It seems to me that any old red faced mick in his hepworths suit and wellies can just buy a set of lights and bung them up anywhere.

Don't blame old mick sweating in his hard hat, it's the pillocks who plan(?) these jobs that want sorting out.

What about the (dare I say it on here) New Labour plan to make anybody digging a hole in the road to consult with all other prospective diggers so they can all be in the same hole at the same time so the hole is dug less often.
