Another sad story
« on: March 21, 2008, 19:50:25 »
Daughter and son-in-law came in today. There white GS died last night, she was 12. She had an operation on a cancer lump last year but Paul said he wouldn't put her through that again. She has been poorly and they knew the end was near. They phoned 3 vets last night to ask them to come and put her to sleep. They were all too busy. Paul said he would sit up with her and get the vet to come this morning. They phoned their daughter Gemma (Chloe-Anne's Mum) and she came straight away. Paul said Sharne looked up as Gemma went out of the room and just closed her eyes and went to sleep. Gemma said she must have waited for her to say goodbye. At least she was with the 5 people who have loved her for 12 years.

Thanks folk. The funny thing (or rather the good thing) is that she does not appear to have been in pain, she just seemed to slip away.

So sad Lorna, but I expect you are all glad she went of her own accord. Had to have my much loved GSD helped along a few years ago, and all though I cuddled him through-out, I wished it had been otherwise. :'(
Smile, it confuses people.

Very sad, Lorna.

It is good that she had owners who loved her.

Its so sad, but she had a very happy life and very much loved and how lovely she had all of the people she loved the best around for her at the end.
