usual dull cloudy day with a hint of rain in the air.   after three summers like this, I am seriously considering moving,  it is really getting to me.  Tomorrow I am going to jump in my car and go try and find the sun somewhere.

Moan over.    :( :( :(

Keep going south until you hit the coast. Supposed to be nudging up towards 30oC down south.

Out with the watering can. Who's complaining? Not me  ;)

yesterday somerset, 32 in the shade and the sensor is accurate, sky was very blue all over and I had to put shading up. I think today could well be hotter.

tbh, it is too hot for me, I like 20

Don't you just love the English climate?

Washed-out / drowned - baked / burnt but it really is a source of conversation.  ;)

Well last night I looked at all the weather charts to see if there was anywhere getting full sun.  We came up with Dunbar  in East Lothian.   I found the sun  boys and girls!!!!  it was shining in Dunbar.   then onto Eyemouth  then Berwick on Tweed,  sun all the way.   and yes, when we got home sun was shining.   I am happy today.  Rain forecast tomorrow.   :( :(

Hottest day of the year so far, in my book!

Hubby umpired in it, son batted and bowled in it, daughter sunbathed in it and I knitted in the shade  ;D

A lovely day with the family, with a little rest from the garden and the plots.

Sorry to mention for those who have not been getting it.  But we have had wall to wall sunshine for 5 solid days and it has not rained since last Friday.  A real heatwave.

I think everything in the garden has more or less doubled in size.

You are so right!!

What a contrast it has been but today.........

the sun's worn out and the damp grey is back but not to stay (I'm sure ??? )

Rochford Essex. Just been caught over the lottie in a really nasty downpour complete with thunder lightening and hailstones!. Thought I might catch a shower or two today but nothing like I experienced. Not too good in storms and as my plots are the far end of the site I didn't have time to pack up and leave before the heavens opened. Luckily two other plot holders were making their way back to their plot and took shelter with me. Once it calmed down I made a hasty retreat for home. Such a shame as this morning was very pleasant and I was set to spend the day having a potter about. Ah well there is always tomorrow :P

Nice morning despite the weather forecast; drizzle this afternoon. Lifted a bagful of Pentland Javelin, which is surprisingly good, despite having been underwater a few weeks ago.

After torrential downpours it's once again looking like August April.  ::)

Same as you Aden....I've got baby brassica plants that really need to be outside getting used to the real world before I transplant them to their final growing positions but the rain is just too erratic & heavy to risk them being outside unless I am at the house & can whip them in to safety  ::) The rain here in Kent is falling with the weight of heavy hailstones  :o it actually does hurt when it hits you!!!! xJane
