A dry Bank Holiday morning but now, just after 3pm, it's started spitting.

I could have done with another few hours to get my parents washing dry.
(So nice of my sister to leave it for me every Sunday when she pays her 3 hour visits.) :(

Oh come on , we had it down to 2 degrees c last night. The wettest spring on record, followed by the wettest summer on record followed by frost in august.
Bugger, although i did bring in a load of summer pots into the greenhouse yesterday so didnt lose any tender stuff, except maybe the black eyed susan.

Very difficult to plan things.

Think I will put my feet in the grandkids paddling pool, got a bit of a headache as 3 hours at the allotment was a bit much today. Loads of lovely raspberries, and figs from my Italian friend. I am honoured, the only person that can take apples from his allotment, but I don't. He won't take anything in return, not even my lovely raspberries. Sorry a bit off topic again, must be the heat.

Tuesday was lovely - felt like the middle of a proper summer after the chill of the previous days. Still warm now at 2 in the morning.
