Just as the mower was about to be brought out my mother phoned. She was off to the hairdressers with my sister but needed someone (wonder who that might be) to sit with my 96 yr old dad for a couple of hours.  >:(

I'd been there all morning - prepared lunch - need to go back to do dinner and the late evening bedtime shift while my sister continues to enjoy her 2 week holiday.

Hair done and now it pours heavily!!

Great to have the rain as we need it but I'm happy to do without the sister.  ::)

The most extraordinary mixture of pouring rain, hail storms, thunder, blazing sun in blue skies, alternating throughout the day - East Sussex. Big family day out in Bedgebury Forest with 6 of us doing Go Ape and the rest on the ground amusing small children. Hope my 62 planted potatoes have noticed the rain, ditto my snap, podding and mangetout peas.

It's just been bucketing down, the most intense rainbow I have ever seen, unfortunately, my phone says there is not enough battery left to work the camera  ??? and I seem to have a hole in my boot.
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

Nice day.  Not that warm, but warm enough for the bees to be  working dandelion enthusiastically.

Glorious sunny spring morning, no signs of overnight frost either, not going to the plot until after lunch-bet its raining by then!
Friends always welcome on the plot, weeds by appointment only.
