System Restore - Internet Settings?
« on: February 22, 2008, 11:37:34 »
If the internet settings have been changed by an admin and a non admin needs to alter them, will a system restore work if applied back to the date before the internet settings were changed?

I know how the restore works but I wasn't sure if it applied to internet settings made on IE.

LOL does that make any sense?

It's Windows XP.  I'll give it a go, thanks :)

Edit:  Grrrr, says I don't have sufficient security priviliges to do a system restore on my computer, only admin does (I am at work) Oh well, will have to wait until the guvnor comes back in.

Like everyone else It should work.   Be careful not to go too far back in time though as any recent programs (added software) will be removed.   Your emails and documents should remain untouched and you won't loose any of them.

It may also have been helpful to describe you problem as there may have been a simple solution.
