« on: February 14, 2008, 14:53:12 »
I have bough the bulbs for this for the first time today, how do I go abouts growing it.  I know it can go in the allotment but I would like to do some at home aswell, can I grow them in large pots, the packaging also does not advise how far apart to grow it either, Help please

I put mine straight in the ground, a foot apart. Autumn is the best time to plant (mine are around 6 inches high), but it's not too late if you get them in quick.

I put mine in 10"-12" apart about 3"-4" deep. I am sure it will grow in pots but bear in mind the bulbs will easily reach the size of a tennis ball so they need to be big pots.

Yep, each clove should give you a bulb if it gets cold enough to encourage it to split...with colder weather on the way I would get them in soil quick! ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
