Topic: 1st February - Official day of spring

Did you know, that according to the Gregarion calender that 1st February is considered the First day of Spring...
In Irish culture this still stands today :)

Just something I found out about 1st February by the Priest at church, as he was telling me that my birthday was a special day.  Put a big grin on my face anyway :D

Congrats to you - it was my birthday saturday 2nd - but it sure does not feel like spring here (we walked in the snow over Ilkley moor in the afternoon!).

First full moon in February is the start of spring in the Wiccan calender as well - called Imbolc.
