Bon ton roulette
« on: December 14, 2007, 21:33:08 »
Myself and a few choice musicians have been practicing earlier this evening. We are going to perform our style of Cajun music tomorrow at a local pub. Cajun style xmas carols, should be a good time. All profits to charity.

We have never played as a group before but we blended beautifully.

Line up  Ace = Squeezebox and vocals

Fat bloke      = rythm guitar

Wingnut      =bass guitar

Suzy Teasmaid  (OH)   =triangle and washboard

John the hat  = drums.

Band name (for one night only)  ACE AND THE CHANDELIERS

Let the good times roll !!!!

Oh yeh we usually masquerade as a bunch of bad'ass bikers, so give a biker a wave tomorrow we all try to do our bit.

No thanks! I had 25 years of pub entertainment, Leave it to the youngsters.

But last night was great, apart from no drinking, (had to drive the equipment home) and no smoking.
The place was packed and a lot of money was given, which will go to a local youth group. There were all sorts in the audience and some of the younger ones were asking if we had a cd for sale.

One thing that amazed me was the amount of phone cameras clicking away, evidently they pass the message around the town by photo and text to let everybody know there's a good session going on.

When I was loading the van up afterwards, a couple of policemen stopped to chat. They said they had been back quite a few times to check the pub. I did not notice any trouble I said. No we just liked the music was the reply.
