We have a designated managed wildlife area on our allotments and at the edge of this there's lots of Blackthorn (sloe) bushes and over the past week this has been full of Blackbirds eating the fruit, think perhaps the hard frosts we had at the end of last week softened the fruit making it more attractive to the Blackbirds. There has been a couple of Thrushes taking the sloes too, nice to see them as there's not so many of them about as there used to be.
