Spelling matters
« on: October 12, 2007, 17:14:04 »
Just had to share this!

Had a visit from a bathroom designer today. She gave me her brochure....................

.............I'm wondering if they set it off when they get in trouble then wait for someone - (a man???) - to come and rescue them.  ::) ::) ::)

RNLI here they come?
The spelling mistake which always conjures up a lovely picture for us is when folks on Gardening sites talk about 'sewing' seeds. Right, needles at the ready?

Did you say anything to her? A mistake like that might lose her some work!

I have brochures in six different languages and it's a nightmare checking, double checking, triple checking.  Typos are so easy to do, and easily missed.  I'm always grateful for comments/corrections.  I suspect the lady designers either didn't check well enough, or they could blame the proof readers!!!

How about this for an inappropriate apostrophe:

take the final "o" off and it will work. But mine works too slowly, don't know if it's the site or my connection.
