night time noises
« on: October 03, 2007, 23:47:42 »
Hi, most nights for the past week I have heard a very highpitched sharp short sound form something in my garden. I can usually hear it between 11pm and maybe 3am and goes on for quite a while. I live in the sticks and I know I have a fox marking territory in the garden, could this be one of the noises a fox makes? I would be grateful for any help in identifying this please. Thanks

Could it be an owl? Possibly a Tawny owl. Can you not go out and have a look?

Go on. I dare you! 8)

 ???

Foxes sound a bit like a mixture between a bark and a scream...can scare the wits out of you!

Not sure what it could be, will be watching this space...
