a mottled french bean ... question ...
« on: September 27, 2007, 14:15:29 »
I thought I was growing Tendergreen beans ... but these have grown as mottled slightly stripey in purplish colours ...

Question is ... whay have I grown !! ::) ;D   Has anyone else grown a mottled bean ??

( assume it can't be Tiger Bean 'cos they climb ??)

Hi Flowerlady

If it's a dwarf, it might be Triomphe de Farcy.
The pods are rather slender and purpelishly striped.
The beans, when dried, are a purple-black.
I liked their delicate taste, both fresh and dried.
