Many many years ago my hubby and his friend Bob wired a new build bungalow where the chap used African Rock Pythons as his burglar deterrant. The entire property had to be set to a certain temperature (very tropical).
Many times I was invited along to see the completed home (apparently it was stunning) but I refused because of the snakes.
I've just googled for a picture to show you and came up with this news tragic report. :'(

You do occasionally hear of these things, but it's extremely rare. Usually, victims are children or small women; it's a pity we can only see the body's legs so we can't judge the age.
