Sorry Richard everyone from the beeb site I should have said, seems like most of them ended up here, I was feeling a bit lonely but I guess they've all spread themselves out. :P

Hello Val, and all the others on A4A, old and new, I received your mail. So that technical hurdle has been taken too.  Still have to get a bit used to the workings of this site.
Had to register under the name of "William O"

Hi Val,

I'm from the beeb site as well.  Feel a bit mean leaving all my friends over there (some of which are here though), but this is such a good site that I just had to stay :D

Well, I'm dutch allright, and my name is William
Logging in as William was not possible (that vacancy had already been taken). So I added the O.
Just popped in on A4A to have a look around, to see if some of the people that are missed in action after the removal of "over the garden fence" can be located here.

Must say the facilities over here are pretty good, but the plot is also much bigger. I still have to find my way a bit.

See you

Happy Gardening

 8) Hi everyone, glad to see a lot of familiar names and hope to make new friends, its strange dipping the toe in the water on new sites a bit uncomfortable to start with.

Hi Val,

I defected from the Beeb some time ago - just like Pat, Richard, Tim etc.

Isn't it strange how we all came together again over here?

Glad to have you 'aboard.'

Hi Everyone from OTGF! And anyone else reading this! Got a reply from the BBC today by e-mail which still just really says that they are reviewing the situation and trying to get us to use the Sofa. I told them that we were mostly using A4A now. Don't know what they will think about that!

Hellooooo, its Steve here from the almost defunct Beeb boards! ;D

My screen name "Bubble" is nothing to do with any sort of fetish i have for them, but a nickname a bloke at work has and i thought it sounded rather good. This site has a much happier atmosphere, but it took 2 attempts at registering using an 2nd e-mail address. The 1st password they gave me wouldnt work and no matter how many times i clicked for them to re-send me it-it never came.

Anyway,everythings fine now so...
Talk to the elbow-its got a point

Hey, you lot, refugees from the Beeb you might be but, as Eileen will tell you, we is nice peeps here and is a very different site!  Prepare yourselves for laid back and friendly!  In not time at all the beeb will be a distant memory!  Welcome all!

Came here from the Beeb 2-3 weeks ago and can heartily endorse the friendliness, helpfulness and general all-round niceness of this site. It's more comprehensive than the Beeb site as well.

One of the nicest things is that you don't have to have a lottie to join, because I haven't, but would hate not to be here.

Hi Roobarbpie here, another defector from OTGF. I prefer this garden bench to their plush sofa anyway. I don't have to take my wellies off and tea always tastes better outdoors. ;)
I will cut the grass only when I get Mowtivated.
