where's Tales of the Riverbank with Hammy the Hamster????

I thought the Woodentops were rubbish when I was little. It was always disappointing when it was their turn on Children Hour (or whatever it was called)

How can they have missed off the Wombles from their list - not only a great children's program but ground breaking in its presentation of green issues and recycling!!!!

The one I saw was a lot before the Herbs, it was cabbages and cucumbers and was an awful programme.

Anyone remember Tugboat Annie?
Pottytime and the Clangers and the Bumblies, and Billy Bean and his Funny Machine were all favourites in our house. ;D

The Herbs were FAB! Dill the dog, Parsley the Lion!

I liked Hectors House as well - but Kiki the frog freaked me out. Always popping up over the wall when you least expected it. A voyeuristic amphibian.

Hector was a miserable old git but I sort of bonded with him when I was 5.

The Clangers: Oh yes! Class programme! And the soup dragon ... I was inventing recipes for the underground reptilian version of Jamie Oliver when I was 6.

Chorlton & The Wheelies - the most surreal kids programme ever! I used to come home from school at lunchtime just to watch this! And I was about 15 at the time...

"Aye oop little old lady" ;D ;D ;D

Cheers,
Rob ;)
