yellowing pea plants
« on: July 22, 2007, 18:28:40 »
Hi, I wondered if anyone could give me some advice....

My ambassador pea plants are now yellowing and look like they are dying. They were sown at the very end of March. I have had quite a lot of pods off them but there are still pods developing. There also seem to be new flowers on some of the plants. Have they just come to the end of their lives or is there anything I can give them to perk them up??

This is probably a daft question but I have never grown peas before!!

Thanks

Hi Sallyann, yes I'm afraid that your Peas are coming to the end of their natural life cycle, it is quite normal for them to start to yellow after this period of time, after all they have done what they intended to and that is to produce their seed(Peas) to ensure they live on next year just like any other plant once they have done this they think that there sole purpose in life is over and die off, enjoy them regards Steve.
