Hi Olicat,
There are allotments in Alsager, but none are free. There's a waiting list. I'm on it & I think I'm about 6th, but the plots all looked well looked after so I'm not holding my breath. I got an allotment elsewhere through a friend, which involves travelling but was my best option.
This is part of the e-mail conversation I had with them - sounds like there is land available through Congleton Town council rather than the Borough ( it's weird round here - so many councils to chase after)

Hi Ann,
Allotment provision is a voluntary function for District Authorities and currently we only have sites in Middlewich and Sandbach. I have asked for funding to support these sites but they are not seen as a priority. As an aside Congleton Town Council have just purchased there own site from CBC for allotments in Congleton. If you did identify a suitable site and were prepared to fund/manage it may be a way of providing local provision.
I am not aware of any private allotment sites
Regards
Gareth."
Hope that Helps.
