I have just discovered in my shed a box full of old pickled onions and pickled beetroot.  My dad gave them to me two or three years ago and i forgot about them (mustn't tell my dad), but i don't fancy eating now.

Does anyone know if i can drain them and put them on my compost bin?..or will they be too acidic?

Does anyone know?

Drain the pickling vinegar off first... then chuck them in...
