Late frost due?
« on: May 05, 2007, 08:04:51 »
Do you guys reckon we will get a late frost?

Have been studying the weather outlook for the next 10 days in my area (SE) and they say the lowest night time temp will be circa 7 Degs.

Does not seem to be heading the way of a frost, but who knows, they are always bloddy wrong! Look at today as an example!  :-[

Thought the crappy weather wasnt suppose to hit till monday, but alas... :-\

Reason I ask is that the plants in the potting shed are begging to be let loose due to the recent hot spell.
To plant today is to not plant tomorrow!

I bit the bullet yesterday and planted out my runner and french beans on tha lottie. Like a lot of other people who have posted on this site I plan to do back ups back home. I saved lots of seed from last year.

Experienced allotment owner I know always plants his straight in the ground on the 13th May, so might do that as well, if the first lot survive I can always pull out the second ones.

Dizzy :)
