Just very cold wind here today, keeps going dark as if going to snow/hail, but then changes mind!

3.p.m - sunshine streaming through the windows, trying to stay awake as I read the paper.
3.25 p.m. - sudden snow flurry, then the sun came back.
Funny old weather.

Well I am up the road from Tin Shed so our blizzard hit us at 3pm when I was sitting in the car outside school. BBRR. Then about 30 minutes ago we have another flurry. It isn't settling, and it is quite granular. Blooming freezing though - a real shock after the last couple of weeks of sunshine.

19th March
Sun, then snow, then wind, then sun and wind, then snow, then more snow, then sun, then snow and wind.
Typical Scottish day.

I gather they've been having torrential hailstorms in mid-Cornwall. It always does torrential something (the local weather forecasters used to say 'precipitation' when they weren't sure what) any time there's a north wind coming off the sea.

March. Cambs. A short hailstorm early evening yesterday. Got up to a white covering this morning but the sun is now out and quickly getting rid of snow/hail.

Looks like it's our turn for the snow flurries today, the wind is as cold as ice. Had better go to allotment and check the greenhouse heating. :) (and read the seed packets) ;D ;)

Finally, the other shoe drops. Here west of London we've been living in a freeze-drying wind machine since Sunday morning.
But at last it's snowing. ;D
Sideways. ::)
