Bunny rabbit looking for a good home.
« on: March 15, 2007, 18:29:55 »
I have an 18 month old male bunny, desperately seeking a good home.

He is one of ten bunnies I hand reared from 4 weeks, after they were abandoned outside of my work (was working in a pet store at the time). I have rehomed all of his brothers and sisters, but have run out of potential homes!

I would love to keep him, but, as I only have a communal garden, and vandals on my allotment site have a nasty habbit of burning any animals/birds alive in their hutches/houses etc, this is near impossible. I don't think it's fair for me to keep him as a house rabbit, as I don't have the time to give him all the walks, cuddles, attention he deserves.

He is a beautiful little boy, all black, with a little white dot on his chin. He is a dwarf rabbit (not sureof exact breed, as he was abandoned) but he looks like a cross between a dwarf lop and a dutch.

He is extremely tame, and so so friendly. He just needs someone with the time to give him a bit of love, and also, preferably somewhere he can be outside safely.

I am currently living in Kings Lynn.

If you can offer him such a home, you are welcome to him, along with his indoor cage, toys etc free of charge.

I'd love a rabbit but the OH won't let me. She was reared on a farm so unless you can milk them or sell them at auction she doesn't really see the point. She let me have a cat - probably thinks that's why we have no mice or rats. And I suppose she thinks the tropical fish are for tea one day.

I would love him but Grantham is a bit too far to travel.

Rabbits have man uses - they make excellent lawn mowers, and their droppings, once rotted down make excellent fertilizer. Their bedding can be used for compost.
There you go - now you can tell the OH how useful bunnies are!

I will take one and post it on here , hopefully in the next hour or so. Bearing in mind I'm in Kings Lynn Norfolk though, don't want to get your hopes up if it's too far for you to travel!

Ah - Excellent - get ready for the piccies - have finally managed to convince him to let me take a few! lol. He's normally such a poser - but tonight I had to bribe him with some veggies! lol.

if you get stuck for a home for him i will take him. i am sure i can organise a bunny run from you to me with a little time ;)
but.........
i would have to ask you if you could get him neutered first. i have 5 girlies here and there is no way he can free range until he has been defused ;D
let me know if you need me :)
