Could you please let me know how many potatoes I might expect from a single plant

Its hard to tell exactly, depends on a lot of things, types, spacing,watering, etc  it could be anything between six to fifteen  but others will come on and give you different figures its just pot luck. ??? ??? ??? :P

Hi terracemax,
If you keep notes on what you planted each year, growing conditions etc. and continue to do so, you'll get your own individual estimate after about three years ;)

Yes I agree there are so many factors including how you earth up, or maybe you use plastic? The key thing is finding that seed potatoe that likes your soil conditions, have a chat with others on your site and see what really does well and is almost pest/problem free.
