Gardeners' World Live
« on: January 15, 2007, 23:29:42 »
Just got the notification through this evening: 13th - 17th June. According to the blurb, new stuff this year includes:

A 'Supertheatre'.  Visitors booking tickets in advance will automatically be offered a seat and can choose from 'a line up of gardening gurus including Alan Titchmarsh and Monty Don.'

Sarah Raven will be among others answering questions.

There'll also be a 'Grow it' Stage for lessons from the experts in how to cultivate veg - followed by cookery demonstrations of said veg by celebrity chefs.

The whole event will be co-located with BBC Good Homes Live and BBC Good Food Summer Festival, and the GWL ticket will allow entry into all three shows.

I gave it a miss last year but thinking about going this year. Anyone else considering it?
Lesson for life:

A bit early yet for most people planning a day out. But I will be there all week.

Interesting that they're combining it with the other events.. though I can't see how anyone could possibly cover all of GWL in one day, let alone three events in one day!

Will probably do Tatton this year as it's nearer, though last time I visited GWL it was pretty good.
