I think you probably have to have AOL as ISP Richard.  I just got 'the page cannot be displayed' :(

Sorry I didnt explain that very well did I?  ::)

I had just started an album in AOL Pictures, and was wondering if you could link them into a site such as this. Clearly you cannot. (well it sort of works but it only shows your pictures, and only if you are with aol).

Oh well worth a try seeing as we soon cant use Hpphoto

Well done Richard ;D  Maybe I'll go again and have a look at Gavin's instructions.  I am afraid that first time round they frightened me to death :o  Just seemed a bit too much to take in.  Can you transfer pics to this site though from your own web page :-\

I'm impressed Richard :D  Unfortunately I still don't think I will be able to grasp how to do it that way.  I am still using HpPhoto right up to the last minute - after that - who knows :-\ :'(

Tim...to reduce the size of one of my own pics which are stored on my pc, yes?, which I then attached direct.
If you right click on your own photo, you get a list, and half way down is "open with >".
Click on that and I then have an option to go to Microsoft picture manager, which then opens and across the tool bar at the top you have "edit picture".
I then reduce the size of my photo, I think it is usually to about 25%, you should be able to tell how big you want it, and then save that, under a new name!(I say that as i didnt once, so lost the original!!!)  You should then see that the new piccy is under the 200kb max limit for attachments, and , as they say, Bob's your uncle!
When you post, and then add a piccy, you just put your message, click the cursor to the attachment box, attach and then post. The photo does not show itself in the preview...a mistake which took me ages to work out, so you just have to go for it, and if it doesn't work, delete your message after!!!!!
   Hope that helps Tim....

("Sorry the photo is no longer available")

Aqui, this is what I have done with the border in the above photo.  Snowdrops and aubretia, moved from elsewhere.

(It appears that I cant have more than one picture on my webpage at a time, as the later photo has replaced the older one - sorry)

Thanks, Sally -
Although I seem to be able to do it now, it's a bit hit & miss! We have an 'image  editor' rather than a 'picture manager' - & I still can't appreciate the full implications of 'inches', 'cm', pixels', 'percent', 'dimensions' (pixels?), 'size' (kb?).
But here is why we have narciss - we enjoy other people's daffs & then have our narciss as a follow-on. The trunk is our 100 year old Bramley that came down 6 years ago. A Norway Maple has replaced it. = Tim
