Tomato seed
« on: August 28, 2006, 12:29:16 »
I can offer Clear Pink Early (Russian bush, extremely early; it's been producing outdoors for a month or so now), Taxi (early, yellow, bush, tasty), Stupice (early, cordon, tasty) and Buckbee New 50 day (obviously won't produce in 50 days from seed outdoors in the UK, but it's early and nice. Cordon).  More varieties to come when I've got some seed collected.

Hi Robert

I would love some Clear Pink Early, Taxi and some Stupice seeds if you have any still available.  I'm afraid I don't have too many tomatoe seeds besides some Sungold that I am busy drying.  Otherwise you can look at my list lower down on the swop board for anything that you might fancy.

Let me know if you want to swop.

Thanks

Jitterbug, I'm afraid that Sungold is an F1 variety so it's not really worth saving the seeds from them :'(

Robert I'd love any bush varieties you can spare as I have discovered that tomatoes grow really well outside here in Edinburgh so thought bush varieties would be more maintenance free.

They probably are; if you're growing them outside, just treat everything as bush. PM me your address.

Hello,

Could I have a few taxi seeds please, if you still have some spare. Let me know what you would like in return.

Thanks

I've posted the tomato seed. I just hope everyone gets the right varieties, and gets enough seed; I had to delete so many PM's before Dan increased the limit that I was losing track. If anything doesn't arrive by the end of the week let me know.

Hello Robert,
If you still have stupice and Clear Pink I'd love some I have Whippersnapper and Potato leaf white saved so far this year but others to follow. I've always grown Fox Cherry as a cordon inside but I bet it would cope outdoors... heavy cropper and very large for a "Cherry"
I'll pm you...

Nobody would be daft enough to want yellow currant?... I once had a plant reach 6' in all directions and it still had 200 trusses of about ten toms on bonfire night... they split and drop when ripest... great indicator weed for planting out squash and so on... when the seedlings come through the soil is warm enough!!!
 ;D

I'll try anything once! I didn't get anything posted today as the computer was down and I couldn't access peoples' addresses. I'll get them off tomorrow.

Hopefully, everyone's seeds are now in the post. I'm a bit shaken after coming a cropper off a ladder this morning (the ladder needs repair, I don't), and I don't want to miss anyone. So if you don't get them, or get the wrong seeds, don't be embarassed to let me know.
