I hope you won't think this is a daft question!
I would like to have hens in my garden but we are plagued by domestic cats! >:( Are they a threat to hens?

Hens will see cats off especially if you had a cockerall.
Ours were witnessed harassing a cornered rat the other day and mice that stray through the "warzone" last seconds

yes fully grown LF will scare of cats easily. But chicks and growers are another story. Since i moved my LF to the allotment i have cats try and snatch my 8 week olds and baby chicks! Not been too bad since we have the mother hen here.

Yes, when it comes to the pecking order cats are definitely lower down than chickens and so are rabbits. Woe betide any cat that tries to take a chick from a protective broody hen.
