Going to take advantage of seed offers, was wondering which cucumber people recommend for taste/yield.

So you should be!!

We always grow all-females.

We have tried Danimas, Passandra, Carmen, Mistral, Gracius, Simpson's Sweet Success, Delta Star, Melon & Petita. For flavour, I doubt I could tell them apart.

For yield, I suppose Passandra has done best. Typically up to 45 per plant.

Trying Flamingo this year as well.

The grandchildren take them to school every day in their packed lunches.

Flamingo is obviously going to be a longer one than Passandra.

I grew lemon cuces last year and daughter number one was eating the like apples, similar to Tims crowd.  Growing more of those this year, along with a white version who's name escapes me.  Very productive and I reakon a winner for kids!

Has anyone grown the variety crystal apple?  We got a free packet of seed this year, and have grown a couple of plants.  In all honesty, they look more ornamental than productive.  They are covered with flowers, but nothing much seems to be developing into 'fruit'.  They are supposed to be round (if anything ever develops).

crystal apple is OK, not the strongest of flavours when I grew them, I much prefer Burpless Tasty Green to any other outdoor cucumbers  I've tried

Has anyone grown "Mini" or "Paska" indoor cucumbers?

Hold fire about a week Valmarg, I grow CA every year and they are very productive but like many cucurbits can produce just male flowers at first. If you prefer long to round cucs try Boothby's Blond, another open pollinated heritage variety!
