Help! virus?
« on: May 05, 2006, 11:40:08 »
This is my Atlantic Giant back-up plant and one of the Vif Rouge d'Etampes. THe Atlantic Giant I planted on my plot is similarly affected.

Yellow mottling >:(

Can cucumber mosaic virus be spread by seed? I got the Atlantic giant seed from a seed swap at a potato day...

Dandelion I would pot them on into bigger containers, they are VERY heavy feeders so could be they just be needing a bit more grub! A few of mine do this each year, never seems to affect the crop! ;)

I'll repot these and keep them quarantined to see if the mottling dissappears. I will go and check the one that has been planted out on the plot tomorrow. That one has plenty  of food!

I get that every year, is it not a transient reaction to root disturbance, they seem to get over it on their own!
