I don't remember seeing it - and I'd have my doubts! Mine isn't up yet, let alone galloping away.

if you look at the spears in the picture they do look a bit thin. Thats probably what you're going to get - if you're lucky

I grew mine from seed three years ago now, not sure of the variety. We had some last year and looking forward to our first proper crop soon. It is easy froms eed, and germiantes like cress. I got over 60 plants from one packet; sold and bartered the rest.

So - at looooong last - it arrived. 3 weeks late. I had given up!
How does it compare with others?? The roots are 14-16" long.
flowerlady - they're all nice, but grow an early & a late.

I am growing mine from one year crowns (Marte F1) and donated seed (Martha Washington). Hence my efforts are going to take a minimum of two years, possible three to get initial crops. This advert suggests that I am wasting my time ... or gullible. I prefer to be cynical.

Recently there was a thread on one of the US gardening groups regarding asparagus - they were selling 4 year old crowns and apparently they come into harvest earlier than the standard 1 or 2 yr olds.
Have no personal knowledge of these so it will be good to hear how they perform

Miracle asparagus, I think not!! Not unless thay are older crowns, but then surely you'd expect them to be more expensive than these are advertised at?
