hi.after a restless night sage sage gave birth to 1st kit at 12 0 clock today she had 4 more of which only 1 survived.2 were born with splits down their backs and no movement in their back legs.After consulting the vet I had to dispose them as humanely as i could. 1 kitten was stillborn which we tried to resucitate to no avail.Two kits and mum are all ok .So its been a traumatic day today. Will post pics tomoro

Must have been so distressing for you.  I hope the remaining two and Sage are ok.

I look forward to seeing the pictures.

Oh grots, so sorry to hear it wasn't straightforward last night, sounds like sage was lucky to have you and MrsGB as experienced midwives on hand. Glad you were able to help mum and her two little survivors through the night's labours, look forward to your pictures when you can post them. SSx
