Hi chuff. My first seedling was bent in two by the blackbird in the kitchen, I thought it was going to survive but it gave up the ghost!! Second seed has now germinated. I have removed to bedroom windowsill!!
Will sow some more in couple of weeks, probably (if they germinate) I will give the plants away as I really haven't got room for more than one plant.
Fun innit it!! ;D

Hope it's not too late to join.
We planted 6 seeds about 2 wks ago, the children wanted to plant 2 each, but after reading this thread i dont think we will be planting all the plants.
Might have to find new homes for them, because i wouldnt know what to do with 100+ pumpkins.

Never too late growingfamily, the more the merrier. Welcome to the forum!
You could always ask your local church if they would like your spare pumpkins for Harvest Festival, you could have them rolling in the aisles ;)
I have just ordered my seeds, will be planting 3rd week April 8)
;D ;D ;D

Needless to say, I don't exactly feel very confident being surrounded by all this enthusiasm and massive seeds, but I intend to enjoy this as much as possible. Pictures may follow when I can take some ...

They will be in buckets by planting time  ... ;D  They grow mighty fast even the seedlings once they get going ....
When setting out in garden ..Make a little mound flatten the top and set your plant on this ..Water round bottom of mound not on top near your stalk ...Hope we get some pics once the plants start growing..cheers Jim.
Cheers .. Jim
