I wanna walk like you talk like you  ;D.....................................  My eldest daughter absolutely adored Jungle Book and wouldn't watch any other video for almost 18 months of her life, I knew every song and all the lines................. used to wake up in the night singing Jungle Book while feeding youngest daughter ;)

When she first arrived my elder girl, who was 11 at the time, watched 'My Fair Lady' all the time, several times a day. I eventually discovered that it was because they had to run away from the Nazis, just like she had had to run away from the rebels in Sierra Leone.

Hmmm, I look okay in a Kilt/Skirt, but me in suspenders...  I just don't think the world is ready for THAT!  :o ;D

My favourite musical is Paint Your Wagon.  Worth the time, just to see and hear Clint Eastwood singing "I Talk To The Trees"! ::)  A whole new side to Dirty Harry!  I'm a rabid Lee Marvin fan, btw. ;D

Did anyone see the remake of South Pacific that they showed over the holiday period?  It's a musical I grew up with, so I liked it, but it seemed really odd listening to familiar songs sung by different singers!
Sheldon, Birmingham.  I've put the pin on Google Earth where my shed is, in the allotments.  It's in an area with a satellite photo which is cool!  You can't miss it, there's a bl**dy great big Airport next door!

Singin' in the rain
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Mel Brooks' The Producers (the original), High Anxiety and Young Frankinstein
Dancer in the dark (the most depressing musical ever!)

Worst ever - Xanadu - it was so awful it was almost hysterical!
gone to pot :D

Is that Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder?  The one where he says "d**n your eyes" to Marty Feldman?  That made me howl  ;D

Mutant, I saw that version of South Pacific - whoever was playing Emile he wasn't a patch on Rossano Brazzi (spelling??) - tho I was unbelievably ( ::)) young when I saw the original I thought he was gorgeous.

As I said before love almost any musical - but not with Sir Cliff in it  ;)

I must confess that I didn't find Chicago that good personally. I think my favoutite musical movie has to be Cabaret - just love it.

I really like to see the musicals at the theatre & have been luccky enough to see quite a few: this year it has been Guys & Dolls, the Producers & culminating with Billy Elliot on New Years Eve. They were all terrific. Lots of other goodies too.

I'm not a great fan, I have to confess, but I did like that one with Shirley Maclaine....erm she sings, "If they could see me now..." Showgirl or something...wanders off in thoughtful daze..

I went twice - once with  my sister when we should have been going to shorthand class and then again with my boyfriend and I had to pretend I'd not seen it.  Kept singing along though  ::)
