Go Lorna, Go Lorna - I don't think you'll be able to get away with not learning to swim now you've mentioned it on here, with all our support and your family I think you'll be swimming in no time :)

All my achievements seem to be gardening or food related, I'm sure there must be something else but just can't think of it right now ???

OK Folks in the New Year I will make the effort. Lorna actually bought me a very nice new swimming costume when we last went on holiday (Isle of Wight) but it just so happened that Josh didn't go swimming that week. So costume hasn't even got wet yet ;D

Mine has to be reaching 40, and having 4 kids and 2 step kids that are all turning into cracking people. My eldest passed his driving test today. First attempt. My eldest daughter is again my best friend after a while of not talking due to me leaving her mother 4 years ago. Worst thing was loosing my 3 grandparents in the last 12 months.

Oh and before I get told off getting married.... Nearly forgot!

Surviving the five weeks I couldn't work whilst recovering from receiving my new hip.

This in spite of the Governor hiding my car and van keys so that I couldn't slip out and drive whilst her back was turned...as if I would  :o

It was on the third week that I finally returned to the lottie curtesy of a mate who drove me there...I managed to do a wee bit of hoeing...that made me feel much better.

Derek Hope all goes well with you. A friend of the family had his knee done and whereas he was in agony he even comes and helps Lorna jnr get her garden sorted. Good luck.

Well 30 days to go and I will have made it through another year. Mother was told I would not make it through the night when I was born. 59 years of hard living, drinking, biking and thoroughly enjoying myself have taken its toll but I'm still here. Now thats an achievement.

Shouldn't tempt providence really should I?  I could stay in bed the rest of the month, just to be safe but the Ayatollah in pink knickers might have something to say about  that.

Why thank you folks....believe me I feel like a new man..

I have two replacement hips now and a replacement knee just one knee to  go for the complete set.

When you are young and into sports the thoughts of what you might be doing to your body doesn't come into the equation.....
I have calmed down now... allotments, painting, working (albeit four days a week) and another hobby I will not mention as I will probably be teased to death.

Oh so not daft!! Excellent! Are they lead ones? And do you have different armies? No really, my erm don't be insulted here, but my grandad had loads, and we were always entranced with them....not often allowed to touch though!! Sticky fingers and me being slightly accident prone.. ::)

All painted with my own fair and delicate hand... unfortunately I have now lost partial sight of one eye so focusing to paint the badges on buttons is a bit more difficult.  ;)

Still...I have graduated on to canvasses with oil paints so I can splash and dab to my hearts content....the pictures are not so good but I will look delightful when I dry  ;D
