Wallflowers

Most of the wallflowers I have seen being sold are leggy. Is it too late to pinch the tops out to make them bushy or should it have been done earlier?

Wall flowers are great But be careful with em on a lotty. They are of the brassica family and wall flowers are one of the most susceptible plants for  getting club root, So the lotty you growing them in  must be clear of it..
Some guys down our lotty site wont grow them as they say they fetch clubroot with them.
I dont believe this .I think with them being in the ground so long if there is any spores about and when coditions are right in temp damp etc they  catch it..But it is a good idea to rotate them and treat them the same way You would with cabbage etc in your rotation ..It is also a good idea to bring your own plants up from seed like you are doing Wardy that way you know they are clean..Cheers jim
