Just had to share this tale with you all....
I work somewhere that has a lot of landscaping and a landscaping team. At this time of year they are blowing all the leaves off the paths and grass and collecting them up to be disposed of.
So, as I have just built myself a lovely leafmould bin out of posts and chickenwire, and my one bag of leaves I had collected barely covered the base, I asked the landscapers if they could bag me up some bags of leaves....
Last night I got a phone call that they were waiting in the store for me. My b/f arrived with car and we opened up the store, expecting to see 10 small bags of leaves. Instead we were greeted with 10 GIGANTICAL ENORMOUS sacks of leaves. We had to put the passenger seat down and the car was covered floor to ceiling in leaves, rustling as we drove to the allotment.
Oh, the allotment. Of course I had forgotten that IT WAS DARK and there are NO LIGHTS on the allotment. Cue lots of giggling and tripping over things as we put 3 sacks of leaves in the leaf bin by the light of a Christmas Cracker keyring torch!!!
I need to build some more leaf bins........
