Land
« on: September 12, 2005, 20:25:16 »
We know this is a long shot, but here goes....

We recently placed a post: Allotments 2 Keep Chickens/Quail, And to disappointment have found that we have only two choices buy or rent Land.

If there is anyone in the Nottinghamshire area who knows of anybody renting or willing to rent some land, Please sent us a message.

A genuine cry for helpĀ  :)
Glyn & Rikki

We're keeping our chins up. And still thinking about getting a plot.

You need to look in the pages of your local paper for land sales and rents.  Alternatively write/phone your local farmers and ask them.  Nothing ventured and all that .....
My neighbour approached a local farmer about the field behind our houses about keeping his horses on it (sorry, I should say grazing) and to his surprise the farmer agreed  :)
I came, I saw, I composted

Hi glynallinson
Get a plot anyway till you find somewhere else to put the chickens.
Where in Notts are you? Im on whitemoor allotments (no chickens) but live in Arnold.
What about Mansfield way they are more rural or calverton, oxton etc. Not too far to drive.
Melanie :)
