When pickling beetroot, how do you make it sweet? i know it seems like an easy question but I am now new to dealing with my harvest. My mum likes sweet beetroot so would like to know how to do it.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

I'll stick to my g/mother's recipe - cover cooked beet - preferably golden! - with cup vinegar boiled with 1/2 cup brown or white sugar.
