Hi Roy,just wanted to say THANK YOU! for your help with my Palm,if you remember it was sickĀ  :'( the only 3 or 4 leaves were yellow and nothing had grown for a very long time,l cut off the old leaves as suggested and now l have 6 new ones looking healthy. ;D

Cycas revoluta a Sago Palm a pretty prickley palm once you can get the leaves to grow ;D Here's a snap of it from last year with a pair of pretty toad stools ;D

What happened to it Roy ? did it have something to do with the fungi growing out of it  ??? it looked so healthy last year.

What was the name of that big beautiful Palm growing in your garden,the same as your Avatar  ??? or is it the same one  :D l think you did mention the name when you put the pic up,but l'm decorating this room (study) and l've lost all my notes,why is it when someone helps you clear a room you can't find anything  >:( :D

;D Probably neglect ::) I don't think it was the fungi, I popped it out of the pot the first time I cut it and the roots were a pale ivory healthy colour, we had an exceptionally hot long summer so that may have helped it along, here's a picky of it growing on.



The Palm in my avatar is a Tree Fern Dicksonia antarctica here's a recent shot of it, it still has last years fronds on it giving it a two tone effect.

I'm envious - my sago palm loses an old leaf for evey new one it produces, so has about two  >:(
