Found that two of my tomatoes outside in pots have the lowest leaves eaten to lace by green, unmarked caterpillars approx 20mm long and 3mm in diameter. Would post a picture but had no camera to hand. They are just green caterpillars, but of what? Intend to attempt to rear a few to discover what they may become. Any suggestions?

Luckily they do not cause too much of a problem. I've had them off and on for years, just pick them off and chuck them to the birds, never lost anything other than the odd tomato to them. Messy so and so's though!
