Hi everybody,

As you probably noticed I posted that I was using M3 compost this year, what a learning curve.

M3 is a profession growing medium, it has a high nutrient content and wetting agents. It is peat based.

The high nutrient content means that you do not need to add any further fertilizers and the wetting agent absorbs and holds vast amounts of water.

What I have found though is it dries very quickly on the surface, so I fill a pot or tray with M3, water well, place seeds on top and set with a soil based potting compost (Jacks Magic), just a couple of mm's and then water again.

Up to now, seeds permitting. 100% success. good strong shoots.

For the price £7.00 a bag. It is well further the outlay.
