Would  Marrows be ok for the main base of a Chutney similar to what Tomatoes do, this is my project and not the wife's, Smiley

yes I did it!!!! hope this helps. It's the same one I use from and M and s cookery book.

To be blunt and I always am. Like it or leave it.

Marrow is pretty flavourless it is the thickener.

The chutney is really all the other ingredients.

Calling a chutney MARROW is rather like calling a gravy. CORNFLOUR sauce.
