Our chicken coop is about 8 x 9ftish It has a pergola top, which will be shaded and will most probably have a waterproof cover. I am planning to put a few perches and things for the girls to climb on, but I am not sure about plants. I read somewhere that some bushes could be a good idea. What could I plant that they won't just demolish and is suitable for the conditions?

Sparkly do you mean in the coop or the run? We have a perch in our run & a bale of straw which I put some corn on in the afternoon. The run is 8' x 12' & the coop is within the run.
