Spacing for giant pumpkins?

I'm hoping to have a try at growing a large, well large for me pumpkin. I've raised a couple of plants and I'm now wondering how much space is going to be needed for each? Nothing like forward planning!

 my spacing is 2meters by8meters for 2pumpkins, plant each end and grow towards each other.

mine are going in spaced out by 4 metres  between all four,then will train the vines to avoid to much interference

planting out tuesday coming fingers crossed,courgettes also

Thanks Springs, I'll follow your advice I’m only going to plant out 2 so that sounds good to me
