I had ten eggs in my incubator but had only one hatch so far. Can't see any movement in the other eggs so think they are duffs!  I'm just bit worried bout the one chick on it's own. I have put it in the brooder this morning but it's gona be very lonely - the brooder is in our main room so it does have some company! Not sure wot else I can do. I do have some chicks in another brooder but they are 3 weeks older and I guess that wouldn't work if I put them together!  If anyone as any advice please. Thank u x

did you hatch anymore chicks? I have heard of peps putting in soft toys so the chick can cuddle up to and budgie mirrors so chick sees reflection and thinks its another chick.
I have put 8 week olds with 12 week olds no problems but mine were silkies

It was on it's own for 2 days but it was really stressed out! It would only shut up and sleep when I took it out for a cuddle. I managed to fund someone with some chicks and he gave me a few
to put with it and its very happy now!  It still goes mad when I go near the brooder though because it want to come out for more cuddles.

thats good news glad the chick is happy now. It will always go mad to see you. the first thing it saw was you and with no other chicks your mother hen and siblings. A special bond has formed between you in the chicks eyes have fun.

I had the same problem only hatched 1 out of 6. Went miles on Saturday to find it a friend and I must say it doesn't make as much noise now called out. I've tried again with another 6 eggs so see what happens this time.
