huge sunflower

hi all

It's about 10foot tall ,it got a branch in a every single leaves.
Somebody said the seeds were good for roasting with a bit of salt. Does it needed to boil the seeds first before put it oven?
(First time ever try to picture  to the post.It toke me long time to work it out)
