As a Fathers' day Treat today, my daughters partner took Mike and I to a Garden Centre (don't have a car so a bit of an event ).  Thought it would be a good opportunity to buy a grapevine for the new lottie greenhouse, which just about finished.

They only had red grapevines left so we bought one and the Peter Barratt Assistant said he had heard they do better in a Pot as  they like their roots restricted.  Mike had left a little gap in the brickwork of the greenhouse as he had intended to plant the root outside and grow the vine up inside the greenhouse. So we are a bit confused as to which would be the best way to grow it. Anyone got any ideas - all gratefully received.  Grin busy_lizzie
