I have been given some welsh onions from a fellow allotmenteer, but know very little about them. Has anyone grown them and can they give me some tips, please.

Dead easy... just plant and they will bunch up... grab a few outer "onions" in say jan/feb when you want some green onion leaf... as all perennials benefit from a bit of feed in spring but completely fool proof, unless you have white rot!
