I've obtained some suitably sized perspex sheets from work (ad panels from vending machines) to make myself some cloches. I have to get the "pictures" off with a hot-air stripper, but some are matt black on the reverse, and a few have a "mirror" finish. Does anyone think that for short-day use, it might be worth running them east to west with the reflective surface on the inside of the cloches on the northern side, to increase the light the plants get? Or what about using the matt black ones on the south side to warm the soil before use in spring - or is it best just to make clear, conventional "tent" cloches? Huh
